Andy leads the retirement plan division of Horizon Financial Group. Through the 401(k)onfidence System™, he and his team work with some of the top plan providers in the industry to custom build plans, deliver competitive pricing and find solutions to problems that can sometimes be hard to detect. He also cohosts the “Inside the Plan with the 401k Brothers” podcast designed especially for plan participants. Andy’s certifications that pertain specifically to retirement plans include: Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist™, Professional Plan Consultant™ and Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor™.
Andy has been a Financial Advisor for over 20 years. He works with a select group of individuals and families on their personal financial plans and on any respective investment management needs. In addition to Andy’s Retirement Plan certifications, he also maintains a Accredited Investment Fiduciary™ designation, an ethical certification focusing on improving client services by carrying out the highest standard of fiduciary care.
In 2013, Andy became the 3rd of now 4 partners of Horizon Financial Group, a full-service financial planning, investment advisory and retirement planning firm, focused on bringing clients confidence, clarity and direction in their lives.
Andy serves at the Vice Chair of the Retirement Plans Advisory Council for Cetera Financial Group. This professional group of 12 advisors who specialize in retirement plans, help steer the service, offerings and education for over 8,000 Cetera advisors. He is also active with the National Association of Plan Advisors and meets regularly with U.S. Congressmen to give insight into upcoming retirement plan legislation. He was named a Top Defined Contribution Advisor by NAPA each year since 2017 and one of Financial Times Top 401 Advisors in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
Andy received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from LSU in Mathematics. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Baton Rouge. He and his bride, Heather, have two children and are active in their church and community.
