Practice Management Consultant


Proactively engage Horizon Advisor Network affiliated advisors and their teams to identify and incorporate growth initiatives, practice acquisition or succession strategies and introduce resources to navigate industry trends and adopt best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with a minimum of five years in the financial services industry, preferably with experience coaching or managing a team.
  • Experience working in collaborative environments and self-managing toward a common goal
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills to effectively analyze, research and resolve inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workflow.
  • Strong executive presence with skills in presentation development and delivery.
  • Ability to organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines
  • Finds fulfillment in helping others excel

Job Responsibilities

  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with advisors in the Horizon Advisor Network to foster a culture of partnership
  • Coach advisors on establishing business plans and long-term goals and hold them accountable
  • Develop and execute practice management strategies for advisors to grow and achieve their personal definition of success leading to sustainable, transferable practices
  • Effectively manage strategic relationships within the broker dealer and the industry that provide resources to support advisors
  • Lead firm initiatives for growth of the Horizon Advisor Network
  • Ability to answer advisors’ questions as it relates to practice management and other business issues
  • Develop and improve processes for servicing affiliated advisors
  • Identify cross partnering and succession opportunities between advisors
  • Promote awareness of tools and resources HAN has developed for advisors and create new ones
  • Keep all appropriate parties up-to-date on decisions, changes and other relevant information.
  • Provide data driven reports to monitor and manage initiatives for the advisors in the network
  • Grow the network by developing relationships with potential advisors and industry COIs
  • Oversee the network marketing plan and provide timely update ideas for network website
  • Maintain recruiting pipeline and report to partners on status of potential recruits
