Horizon’s Andy Bush Named to 2019 Financial Times Top 401 Retirement Advisors List

For the 2nd year in a row, Andy Bush of Horizon Financial Group in Baton Rouge has been named to the Financial Times Top 401 Retirement Advisors List. Bush is the only retirement plans advisor from Louisiana to make the list in 2019.
Bush, who has earned designations as a Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist®, an Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, and a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor® is the consulting advisor on nearly 70 company retirement plans.  The Financial Times uses 6 broad criteria to score applicants for inclusion in its annual list:
-Defined Contribution (DC) assets under management (AUM)
-Growth rate in DC plan business
-Specialization in the DC business
-Experience advising on DC plans
-Industry certifications
-Compliance record
This is the fifth annual FT 401 list, produced independently by the Financial Times in collaboration with Ignites Research, a subsidiary of the FT that provides business intelligence on the asset management industry. The FT 401 Top US Retirement Advisors is a list of professionals who specialize in advising US employers on their defined contribution (DC) plans. Applicants were required to advise on at least $75m in DC plan assets and have at least 20 percent of their client assets in DC plans. The top factors in the scoring are: DC assets under management (AUM), Growth rate in DC plan business - measured by changes in both DC plan clients and assets, Specialization in the DC business - measured by what percentage of the overall assets managed by the advisor are in DC plans and how that concentration has changed, Experience advising on DC plans - tracks years spent managing DC plan assets through different economic and market environments, Industry certifications, and Compliance record.   Neither the brokerages nor the advisors pay a fee to the Financial Times in exchange for inclusion in the FT 401.
