Andy Bush

Andy has been a Financial Advisor for over 18 years. As a partner at Horizon Financial Group,Andy serves in two major capacities —Financial Advisor for a select group of individuals and families and head of our Retirement Plans Division as a Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist℠, Accredited Investment Fiduciary℠ and Professional Plan Consultant™ for businesses.  

With progress and improvement in mind, Andy collaborates with business owners to identify their optimal plan design, evaluate the reasonableness of expenses, provide proactive service and monitor their fund offerings. He leads a team of advisors who work with participants to help them understand the reality of retirement and the need to actively plan and save. He was instrumental in developing the 401(k)onfidence System, Horizon’s proprietary system for providing ongoing education, guidance, communication and service to plan sponsors and their employees. The ultimate goal Andy and his team strive toward is helping plan sponsors and participants achieve greater confidence, clarity and direction with their retirement plan.

Andy is an active member of the Retirement Plans Advisory Council for Cetera Financial Group. This professional group of 12 advisors helps steer the service,offerings and education for all Cetera broker dealers and their advisors. He is active with the National Association of Plan Advisors. He was recently the only Louisiana advisor to meet with U.S. Congressmen to give insight and influence into upcoming retirement plan legislation. He was named a 2017 Top Defined Contribution Advisor by NAPA. He has been quoted locally in the Baton Rouge Business Report and nationally in Fiduciary News, National Financial Educators Council and The Street.*

Andy received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from LSU in Mathematics. He and his bride, Heather,have two teenage children. He is active in his church and community. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Baton Rouge and Vistage.
